Stop looking for loopholes and strategies to beat the Google. The algorithm changes too quickly to capitalize on loopholes. You’re much better off creating good long-term value for your clients. Play for the long term by providing value and focusing on user experience above all else.

This means knowing the target keyphrase for the content and getting it into the right places – the title, description, copy, etc.

By using this example, it is also a perfect time to drop in what price you charge for your SEO services. You can then explain how they can be getting new customers/clients every month with lifetime values of [Y amount], while only having to pay [Z amount] for the SEO service. Plus, down the line when the site is number 1 for all the keywords, they’ll still be receiving all the new customers/clients but will no longer have to pay for the SEO services ([Z amount]).
Overall, this is a very good post that brings up a lot of good points, but if anybody is serious about starting an SEO/SEM company… it’s all about strong sales and reliable cashflow, and don’t let anybody tell you otherwise.

If I decide I want to promote my services to lawyers in London for example, all I have to do is select London from the UK section of Power Leads Pro X, type in the keyword ‘Lawyers’ and hit the search button.
The first question anyone who starts a company should ask themselves is, “How do I get customers?” It’s a question that I didn’t have an answer to when I first got started. So, I just opened up the phone book and started cold calling businesses, literally. If you didn’t have a web address next to your name and phone number I called you. That was my strategy. If your heart is starting to race and you’re beginning to sweat, stop worrying. I’m not going to tell you to cold call anyone out of the phone book. Do they even make phone books anymore? Throughout the 10 years my agency was in business, and before I sold my SEO business to a big company, I developed 10 techniques on how to consistently get SEO customers.
