First of all. Learn the basics of search engine optimization for Google. They’re still the biggest player in the cyberspace. Secondly, understand the market. Regardless of your niche you have to research and grasp:
Please remember that you must take extra care of clients that come from your partners. If they’re unhappy, the first person they will complain to is your partner. That’s not good for future referrals.
Not only will you be able to scale faster by doing this, but suppose something were to happen to you? Less grim, suppose a buyer presented themselves, and you were were able to show them this process driven business, that they too could scale with ease.
There may be a lack of any specific qualifications so there is seemingly a low barrier to entry – you can’t do a PHD in search engine optimisation and even if you could it would be horribly out of date by the time you had finished it.
Create a local resource from public data (here’s 30 different data sources) and reach out to local press to get coverage. That’s exactly what Krystian Szastok did and he got some amazing results (you really should read this case study).
In my years running an agency, the About Us page was the number one most visited page for us and all our service clients. Nothing else came close, not even our pages that showed previous work and case studies.
What is your current position? What is your background? What is the purpose of your business? What is your competitive advantage? Who are your competitors? How will you exploit their weaknesses, and counter their strengths? How will you increase capability and capacity? How do you plan to grow?
Very nice post. Every business now has to be on the internet. And if You are on the internet – You need traffic. Your website is nothing without traffic. And if You are not making a lot of money via Your website – there is no other way to get traffic but the SEO. Adwords are just too expensive for low income websites. So thank You for showing us the points of SEO!
What ?? Boy do I feel stupid. I mess around for hours and hours reading and testing and trying different ideas . And for me atleast SEO . Is a difficult ever changing tedius project. My God . I would absolutely go insane if I were to try it for a living or sum extra extra extra cash. Humph ? !!
The one thing to keep in mind is that my agency actually provided results. From getting companies to rank in the top three results for terms like “credit cards” and “life insurance” to helping boost their sales, we provided a positive return on investment. If you do everything I mentioned above but fail to provide results as an SEO agency, you won’t be in business for long.
It seems that this strategy relies on the theory that there are limits to DIY and by providing DIY answers, your potential leads will come to not only respect your brand, but come to an understanding of their own limitations internally. A photo taken by someone who doesn’t do it every day will never be as quality as product photographed by a us, a company that shoots products daily and the same goes for SEO.
