“how to start seo business seo services company india”

“One of the gentlemen sitting in the room during my speech was a sales rep at Elpac Electronics and he approached me after my speech. He then told me that the company he worked for was looking for a seo. He introduced me to the marketing manager at the company and they hired me as a contractor for $3500 a month.”

Businesses are finally starting to realize the importance of online reviews from their customers. According to a recent survey, 84 percent of people trust online reviews as much as a personal recommendation, and seven out of 10 customers will leave a review for a business if asked by the business.

However, by capturing their email address and getting them on to your opt in list (I will explain the best way to capture their details later in this guide), you are giving yourself future opportunities to market your services to these business owners. I have three main recommendations. And maybe a warning – like one of those signs you see in horror movies – go back, do not enter, trouble ahead. This is no easy gig so you need to ensure you are up for the task.

If you have money to invest, it’s possible to acquire an existing Internet marketing business.  You may have to find an local business broker to see SEO businesses for sale in your area.  Buying an SEO business can be tricky.  You will need to make sure what the sellers intent is for selling the business, what domains are associated with the business and willingness of the seller to sign a non-compete.  Most importantly, you should do an extensive backlink analysis and make sure that any valuable domains or links that are point to the main website will remain after the purchase (or are part of the purchase).

A couple weeks before an SEO contract expires hold a face-to-face meeting to discuss the success of the the contract and the above Next Phase Strategy Brief. After all, SEO, web design and all of digital marketing never ends. There is no finish line. It’s an ongoing process.

Don’t get me wrong, this takes a lot of hard work to do, but essentially you only need to know the basics of SEO to get started. There are lots of sites online that you can learn how to do this (OnlineIncomeTeacher is a good place to start!), but once you learn, you can begin to turn it into a business.

“What is the lifetime value of every new customer/client you gain?” – This can be a brilliant question as if they do know the exact number then you can then look at the potential monthly search volume for all keywords and say something like; “Well, once we’ve got your website to number 1 for all these keywords, you will be receiving roughly around 40% of the total number of people searching which would be around [X amount] new visitors every month. Even if you only converted 1% of these new prospects in to new customers/clients, you’ll still have gained [X amount] new customers/clients. Based on the lifetime value of each new customer/client you get, that should be new customers/clients every month you will be gaining which have a lifetime value to the tune of [X amount]… And that’s not even including the future customers/clients they will recommend through word of mouth!”. One thing about this example is that you need to have proficient arithmetic skills, if you don’t then just take a calculator with you to meetings. If the business owner doesn’t know how much the lifetime vale of each customer/client is, then still do the calculation of visitors versus a 1% conversion rate and present them with the final number that way, it’ll still be effective.

LEARN YOUR TRADE – Learning SEO techniques and tricks is the first and foremost part of starting your own SEO business. Do an extensive research on the topic and take up SEO courses either online or offline.

It’s easy to assume the buyer has all the power, but this isn’t true. If they’re talking to you, they have already indicated they want what you have. You are offering something that grows their business.

Make sure they push their content on Google+, LinkedIn, wherever it’s relevant. The idea is to do content marketing, not content creation. If a particular writer gets a lot of inbound links or tweets, let them know rewards will follow.

The easiest and cheapest option is to buy a fully customisable professional theme. Some of the best themes I’ve seen online so far that is perfect for exactly what we need are the Studio Press themes. They look very professional and are fully customisable! Helping people for free is still so under-rated… especially for newbies really trying to build a brand. I think this is the most powerful tip on this list as it allows you not only to build genuine relationships but affords you the opportunity to provide direction and advice on websites that are potentially much larger than your own (or any of your current clients for that matter) and see the results; building both trust and brand awareness at the same time.

According to Search Engine Land, of consumers say that they trust online reviews as much as personal recommendations, while 52% say that positive online reviews make them more likely to use a local business.

If you have a small website, you can do some on-page SEO and off-page SEO.On-page SEO refers to optimize the TDK (title, keywords, descriptions), external links, original content, updates and conversion etc..

Internal Links – Link building isn’t just reserved for external sites linking to your website. You can help search engines learn more about your website by internally linking to other pages on your website within your content. As an example, this blog post utilizes internal links when linking to other posts on the KISSmetrics blog.

You convince a prospect to sign up to have you perform SEO services on their website to target 10 keywords. You previously checked the price that the SEO reseller company charges to optimise 10 keywords per month. In this example, let’s say that the SEO reseller company charges £250 (~US$400) for SEO services on 10 keywords per month.

Creating quality content for your website can be a huge investment, but it is worth it. Search engines will love it, and visitors will love it so much that they will share it on social media, leading to even more visitors. You can start out by simply creating blog posts on your website, and as your audience grows, you can expand your content inventory to additional types of media. To learn more, see the Beginner’s Guide to Content Marketing.

I then recommend they begin reading the important blogs in this field. There’s a great list of SEO blogs on the SEO Resource List of The SEO Ace (if I may say so myself). It’s far from complete (my apologies to my industry peers who are not listed!), but you can’t go wrong starting with these folks. I also recommend you get a Twitter account and start following the authors of these blogs to read the invaluable advice they dispense on a daily basis (but be aware that some SEOs have, well, we’ll call it “colorful” and “spirited” personalities. Strong opinions are the norm, not the exception).

Having tools at hand are handy to help you along but experience and making mistakes are all part of the learning process to run your own SEO business. I encourage all SEO’s to have their own learning sites, perhaps run a small businesses on the side to learn the finer mechanics of small business.

I think there is plenty to takeaway here: speaking both as a professional SEO and as a nonfiction writer. But I also feel there is a unique and direct message to plenty of potential entrepreneurs reading this. I really feel that there is a clear point in your narrative that really stands out – one that I am going to call your “one-in-a-million” moment. I’m referring, of course, to this:

I would then take their current conversion rate, let’s say 2%, and their average value per sale, let’s say $100 dollars, and show them that 9,400 extra visitors could give them $18,800 a month in extra revenue. I would then do this for each of their keywords and estimate how much more money I could make them each month.

P.S. The eHow article was published last summer, but I got a handy pointer to it from someone in my Twitter feed this week. (I can’t remember who shared it, and can’t find it due to Twitter’s cruddy search capabilities.) Whoever it was, thank you for changing my life!

BONUS TIME: Now you know exactly what you need to do to start your own SEO business, it’s time to download all the goodies I’ve mentioned throughout the article that are included in the bonus download file! Go ahead and claim your your FREE download file now before you go off and get started;

We will understand these three factors but before let’s look at the stats shared by MOZ – as per MOZ survey “ 4 billion desktop queries in United States are about local businesses, products or services”.

If you’re new to the business, you might think you need a great website to start, not true. While an excellent looking website helps, I’ve seen many SEOs sell their asses off with rough-looking websites or no website at all. So don’t let this be a reason to hold you back from starting initially, it’s just not a core factor to your success.

SEO and ranking in Google is something you will definitely get better at over time. However, if you are going to start a business and handle it for other sites, I would make sure you know what the best working methods are and how to avoid any Google penalties.

You don’t need a 35 page business plan (a lot of the economics of a service based business in particular are fairly straight forward), but you do need to work on lining up a few clients first (if you’re planning to start a services business)…

Client retention. Once you get a client it is very important to have open communication with them letting them see the process so they know exactly how their money is being spent. A lot of SEO clients I have were frustrated with past companies because they were not able to see what they were spending their money on and that left a bad taste in their mouth. Letting the client see behind the scenes of what you are doing has helped me hold on to a lot of clients.

It’s also important to get your business’s name, address and phone number (NAP) on the major citation data aggregators like Infogroup, Neustar (aka Localeze), Acxiom and Factual. Always make sure that your company’s NAP is consistent on as many of these directories and citation sites as possible. Discrepancies like misspellings, abbreviations, lack of suite number and wrong phone number can create havoc when Google can’t determine which information about your business is correct. If Google’s not sure, they may display incorrect information — or not show your business at all in search results.
